Shipping Containers Study II

Tiled paper, risograph printed with teal, blue, red and yellow inks.

A second study of shipping containers and the forever shuffling stacks they go through. Commonly these are thought of and depicted as being at large coastal ports, but within Manchester I’ve seen several depots of these and watched the freight trains hauling long lines through Oxford Road station.

Pattern in practise

This pattern featured as part of SCALE, a solo exhibition at Altogether Otherwise, Manchester. Each pattern created was repeated at approximately 2 x 3 meters in size.
